6th February 2009: Lack Of Blogging, Corupted Hard Disks, New Work Maybe, Zoho.com, Promotion and Employees
So, I realise I haven't blogged for a while.  I guess I am not quite as "on it" as I was in January!  I really should do something about that.  A lot of it has to do with yet another problem with my portable hard disk.  This one hasn't been killed (despite several trips to the floor from varying heights) but it has become corrupted.  All down to trying a piece of dodgy hardware under Linux (and for naysayers, it affects Windows just as badly).  It basically slows the system down to a halt.  Not good.  So I tried rebooting.  It didn't work, and I ended up corrupting the hard disk and many parts of Linux too.  I really need to getting around to reinstalling it...

Now, I do want to mention a few other things going on in my life.  First up, I have applied for a couple of jobs.  One freelance, and one salaried.  Both online and both blogging based.  I'm not going to talk too much about them, but I will when I find out what has happened concerning them.  Secondly, and this will come as a shock to those who know me well.  I have ditched Google Docs.  I've been using Google Docs more or less since it came out (was invited by Google to beta them).  I've moved over to Zoho.com.  Their Powerpoint software is better, and I love their business Desktop thing.  Everything I need in one place.  Perfect for me.

I'm also going back to monetising this blog.  I'm going to do it in a few little ways, but nothing which is going to disrupt the look and feel of the blog.  I am finally going to start trying to make money from this little blog, which has been on the cards for some time.  Although I do also want to work on the promotional side of things as well!  There are one or two little tricks up my sleeve as regards that.  Suffice to say, my little employee Seth is going to sort things out.  Well, this is if Seth doesn't get himself fired.  You see, over the last few months there have been...differences of opinions between us.  His idea of promotion and mine differ, and he is hired to promote my blog.  Except now he is getting funny about how he wants to be paid (this would be key to our differences). 

Apart from that, not a huge amount is going on in my life.  Winter makes for dull work!
